This is a face of total exhaustion (thanks to the sunglasses for hiding the baggy eyes) but also great joy for running every hour on the hour for 24 hours. . . 31.4 miles; 63,000+ steps; 4,750 kcal; £2169 raised just for this challenge. . . All money donated will go to Fields of Life where they are situated well to help love and to serve the people of East Africa, that they might have access to clean water and soap, food and other basics necessities of life.

Battle of Langside // 13 May 1568 ———— 452 yrs ago Mary Queen of Scots (having recently escaped from prison) and some of her pals were on their way to try and chill at Dumbarton castle, bring in some reinforcements and try her hand at taking back power. They ran into some trouble and had a wee battle around the village of Langside. This weekend turned into much more baking than expected, but trying a bake that has been on my list for a few months now. ————— Joconde Striped Wonder Cakes . . Cake 1: Sugar Dream: Chocolate Mousse, Peanut Butter mousse, Salted Caramel cream topped with milk chocolate and a spun sugar nest. . I give it a 9/10 but you only need a few bites before you hit sugar overload. . . Cake 2: Tropical Whisky Supreme: Whisky White chocolate mousse, passion fruit-orange-mango curd, more whisky white choc mousse, mango curd, topped with milk chocolate and chocolate dipped candied oranges. . I expected it to be a 3/10 but was pleasantly surprised. Maybe 8/10? One of the last jobs I had out and about like a normal person. Funny how quickly things can change!
